I decided to start the 100 Day Coding Challenge as a way to upgrade myself. It’s been a while since I’ve learned anything (PHP fan boy here) cause I usually learn from having errors.
What language did I choose?
I decided to go with Java, not cause I think it’s the best option (PHP is and will be the best programming language 👀). But I chose it cause I am really looking forward to getting into Android app development and also learning something that would allow my to work on more platforms.
Through my study today – and even some previous articles I have read – revealed that Java through the JVM (Java Virtual Machine) allows a programmer to build for almost any device available.
It could even run on an onion ~ reddit comment on linux 😅
Struggles?
As someone who is used to multitasking, I have developed the habit of straying from my task every once in a while. I ended up hoping from my lesson on Codeacademy to peeping at Facebook and Instagram reels, YouTube and WhatsApp (Reddit and TikTok don’t count).
I also noticed that my attention span has reduced drastically. I could not stay focused for more than 20 minutes without attending to my phone or trying to watch an anime episode.
